… 2009 is looking good.
1: divisional opponent you place twice every year making any win tough as the home opener and you have a new defensive coordinator and a new head coach = win
2: 14 minutes of total offense on the road on Monday Night Football = win
3: short week, 110 degree outside heat, travel across the country back to back, Primetime back to back, road game against SuperBowl runner up with a 2-0 record and the #1 offense in the league = 502 total yards of offense of your own, holding the #1 offense to 10 points and another win.
3-0
Here comes the Seattle Seahawks…

Being from IN, I'm a Colts fan also. The problems that'll surface are that they can't run the ball, and they can't defend againt the run. Currently 29th in rushing and 30th against the run. And last year they ranked 31st and 24th in the same categories. I'm not worried about their offensive rush stats, I figure Peyton can pick apart any defense, but they really need to get better at defending the run.
How about those 3-0 Broncos as well! 16 pts given up in 3 games! Sure, they've played Cincy, Cleveland, and Oakland… but that's still pretty impressive! We've got Dallas coming here on a short week next week, since they (cowboys) play monday night, hopefully they'll be tired! We'll put tons of pressure on Romo so he can cough the game up like he usually does.

We gave up over 200 yards rushing to Miami (that damn College WildCat offense they play) only had the ball 1/3rd the time they did and still won the game. I agree we need better rushing control on both defense and offense, however the opponent needs to shut down both the pass and the run to beat us. That's hard to do against Indianapolis.
Tonight's game was perfect Colt's football. If we can get the lead, the opponent has to play pass and right into our defensive strength. For the Colt's the defense is setup with the offense. Playing from behind isn't our strength. With that said, when the defense had 45 minutes of play in the Miami heat… those are some well conditioned men for sure!
I liked taking the #1 offense and holding then to 10 points tonight while at the same time putting up over 500 yards of offense. To bad this isn't week 16!
Re: Denver… I was a Plummer & Portis fan BTW. But what do I know! LOL

With all the throwback jerseys, I wonder if the Colts will ever have to wear them. Certainly would bring up some bad blood.
No comment to the wife about stealing the Browns. I guess it's okay to do to someone else as long as it doesn't happen to you? LOL

Ahhhhh, phooo. Your Colts are lucky they squeaked past the Fins. We'll meet again Brooohahahahahaha!
The Dolphins are STILL the only true undefeated team, the undisputed best, numero uno, and envy of all other teams.
Speaking of that, (for all you New England Fans)…
Hey Brady, how's that Giants SB win still taste? Yeah. Thought so.
Or your wildcat spanking?
Ready for more? Good.
Standing Alone in History
Twice before 1972, the Chicago Bears had finished the regular season unbeaten, both in 1934 and 1942. But both times they lost NFL Championship game. Since 1972, four teams have won 12 or more games to start the season and flirted with equaling the Dolphins mark. All four times, the team in question came up short:
1985: The Bears went 12-0 before losing to the Dolphins (Doing the job ourselves)
1998: The Broncos went 13-0 before losing to the Giants (More to come)
2005: The Colts went 12-0 before losing to the Chargers, (awwwww.)
2007: The Patriots went 16-0 and won 2 playoff games before losing to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII (ah, the look on Tom's FACE! lol)
Yeah, I'm talkin smack for my 0-3. You gotta believe!

I think the 72 fins are overrated these days. Let's be honest, the 2008 Detroit Lions would have had their way with the 72 fins.
What they did was a big deal in that era of football, but going undefeated today is exponentially more difficult then it was against the cupcakes in 72.

Can this be?? Broncos 4-0??
Probably not a big deal to most of you guys. But here in Denver, when Pat Bowlen (owner) fired Shanahan and hired McDaniels, some of the local reporters and about 1/2 the fans almost burned down Invesco Field. Then when McDaniels traded Cutler, the rest of the local reporters and another 1/3 of the fans swore off the Broncos as complete losers. The popular vote here in Denver was that the Broncos MIGHT win 3 or 4 games all year.
Personally, I was never a Shanahan fan and couldn't stand Jay Cutler. Shanahan won 2 SB's (with a team that was already in place) then never came close to winning anything again. In addition, I maintain that I could have coached the Broncos with 3 Hall Of Fame players (John Elway, Shannon Sharpe, Terrell Davis) and won 2 SB's. And Cutler has the mental toughness of a 9 year old. I was excited to see them both leave.
So since the year began, the chorus from the fair-weather fans and local media is that they haven't played anybody. Looks like that theory is now officially out the window.
I'd imagine the bandwagon will start to get pretty crowded shortly.
…And next week we have the Patriots coming into Denver. Who knows the Patriots offense & gameplan better than… you guessed it, Broncos head coach, Josh McDaniels.

We'll see you December 13th here in Indy. That'll be a good game.
BTW, beat the Pats up for us some okay? We have them Nov 15th for the big Sunday night game. It'll be our 4th Nationally televised game out of 9 we'll have played.
We have the very wounded and not wanting to be totally embarrassed Titans next week on Sunday night too. 4-0 vs 0-4. They have nothing to loose so it'll be a really tough divisional game 5 hours south in Tennessee.

I read today Peyton is behind only 2 other QBs for all time touchdown passes.
#3 - Peyton
#2 - Marino
#1 - Farve
& 2 of the 3 have SuperBowl rings.
