It seems the airhat was not sitting flush with the throttle body - the front and back were slightly raised for some reason. So I took it off and checked it inside on my table that was flat as well to see what the problem was. Sure enough, it is not cut/molded 100% straight and leaves a slight crack where air can come in in the front and back (or left and right sides if looking at it from the front of the truck).
Has anyone else had this issue? Should I just call them and have a new on sent out or should I buy a new air cleaner gasket and use a little adhesive silicone to ensure the cracks are 100% sealed?
Know a lot of you have gotten these and just wondering if this is something that is common or not... TIA!
