Thanks all, for the understanding.

I have decided to cool my wounds with a purchase of a Magnaflow #12579 muffler. I stopped at a local welding/exhaust shop and they said they would charge me only $35 to put it on.

So, I think this will have to happen before our OBX trip in 17 days, if I can get the part in time. :)

That way the D will sound as macho as its now roughed up exterior says it is.
