I replaced the sensor on the differential and the lights are out. You guys saved me time, money, and dealer aggravation. Thank you.
This sensor is not available at any of the local auto parts stores. No, not even NAPA. Everyone told me it was a dealer item only. The sensor was $32 at the dealer.
Not much to changing it. 13mm and 14mm deep sockets. Only one stud with 2 different nuts on it. Had to pry out the old one, and the new one was a little tough to work in because of an o-ring. A little tight under there, but not real bad.
When I removed the old one there were metal filings on it. Time to do the gear oil too.
I'll be towing the trailer next week and my wife insisted the brakes were 100% before we leave. Now she's happy too.
Great Forum!
