My truck is going in for service on Monday. Among other things, I will have them check the frequent popping from the steering wheel/column I get. The hotter everything gets, the more pronouced it is. It is felt through the steering wheel when accelerating from a stop or when rocking the truck at low speeds (i.e. pulling into a driveway off-angle). Sometimes you can even hear it when first getting seated in the driver's seat. Funky! I will keep you posted what they come up with.
