Re: HELP! Massive Fuel Leak

I don't know if this effected the '99's but I have a 98 D and there was a recall for the gas tank straps, I had it done. The original straps that hold the tank were of a metal that would after time pierce the gas tank and cause a leak. The newer ones they put on with the recall were softer and looked to have rounded edges. Maybe check and see if this recall effected your vehicle. Good luck and glad nobody got hurt!
