I have exactly the same problem on my '01. The first time the 'Dodge 5 Star Dealer' replaced the bushings in the sway bars. It did not help. Took it back and they replaced the entire steering rack and pinion. It did not help. I'm going back in, under extended warranty, for the next phase. I asked the service dept. if they road tested my vehicle and they assured me that they had. I didn't even make it ouit of the lot when I again heard the popping noise. I'll keep everyone posted if it ever gets fixed
