Pulling the thermostat for the summer time is an old wives tale. Without a thermostat to help control water flow, you will flow more water than your radiator can cool and will run warmer. A 160 degree thermostat could be low enough to trip you computer as the engine has to warm up to a certain point to satisfy the computer. The v-10 fan won't help the power sitution any, just cools better. I cannot speak yet for the electric fan, but my conversations with Fastman indicate he hasn't found a highflow mechanical waterpump that he likes(that was a while ago, things could have changed). I saw a post earlier about the new highflow electrric pumps, but don't know if they would be succesful or not. I have heard that the normal fan takes 17 horsepower.
