We bought an 04.5 Ram 2500 Laramie with the Cummins "600" to take over towing duty from our D. As others have said, the Ram is just a sweet truck. Towing our 6,600 lbs camper, the Ram never drops out of OD except on long steep grades (I turn off OD). We have gotten as high as 13.8 mpg towing.

We bought ours with pretty much everything you can get, except for the Nav radio (we have a Garmin Streetpilot 2610), and we paid about $38,000 out the door incl. tax, title, everthing. Ours stickered at a tad over $45,000 so we didn't do too bad. The Cummins option MSRP's at around $5,300, so it does add quite a bit to the price. But, the Cummins is worth some strong consideration if you're ever going to tow heavy.

I Love our D, and I LOVE our Ram.
