I am not an expert either but recharging the system is adding Refrigerant 134 tlo the system to the correct pressure. I think there are also cans that add oil to system as a maintenance. I think this can had freon adn oil to help bring the system up to full charge if it was low.

This can should work fine if your system just needs a small charge to bring pressure back up...if it might needs more than 1 can then just buy the hose with gauge adn 1-2 cans of freon/134 to put in. really easy.

If you A/C system is not working at all or has leak, you might want to bring it to expert.
