A/C not Cold Enough?

I have been through this adn in a way still am...but I thought I might pass on something I learned today.

I was walking around Pep-Boys and noticed a tall can of Refrigerant/Oil with hose and pressure gauge attached on sale for $15. Basically it will recharge and oil your system in one step and very minimal cost. I figured I had nothign to lose, especially since I would be testing it on my mom 10 year old car.

Her A/C is cold already but when I hooked it up adn followed instructions, thre pressure was low and justified using the product...so I push the button to fill while checking pressure, finally pressure got into the OK area and can empty...I check A/C inside vehicle...ICE COLD! Although the A/C was cold before it is even colder now.

I took the gauge off can and plugged it into my A/C Low Pressure Side and it is a little on the low side. I might go buy another cna and recharge mine slightly. I used gauge and checked my wifes system adn it was in OK pressure are and a/c is always cold anyway.

Lesson Learned: If you are not sure if A/C is charged to full/correct capacity...just go spend $15 and you might be able to improve your A/C and get a handle gauge to check any A/C system without paying someone else to do it.
