brakes yet again

well I decided to see how much life was left on them. after checking I replaced the brake that evening. I had rebestos quiet stops pad with the rebestos rotor. the rotor was ok, but the pads were not. Is everyone else getting this or just me.
I replaced them with a carbon metalic pad from performance friction, and a cross drilled rotor.

Also I had to file down what I think is part of the spindel ,were the pad slide. there was a notch were the pad have be sitting. I am thinking my rotor were not warped.it isjust the pad moving in and out of the grove.

also the pads and rotor had 70 000 kilometer on them.
