Re: Gasket or no Gasket on Thermostat Change?

Its hard to believe that Dodge is still using thermostat gaskets in recent years. I have mostly owned and work on GMs. It seems that GM gave up on thermostat "gaskets" years ago. The newer style seal, similar to a split Oring has just about eliminated any kind of leakage in that area.If I recall correctly, my '93 Caravan didn't have the "old" style thermostat gasket.
