For serious winter conditions with lots of ice, I think you need two sets of tires and rims. I have re-soled 31x10,5 with sand particles in the rubber, for grip and for suction to ice when particles fall out and leave small holes in the rubber. They have been tested by VTI (Veg- og transportforskningstitutet i Linkøping, Sverige) to give 25ore tracksion. A link , but I did not buy them here:
