Plenum Gasket Leak

For a while now I have been experiencing a slight idle problem. Some times everything seems fine. Other times the idle drops quickly and usually recovers before the engine dies. The outside temperature doesn't seem to matter. I also have noticed a slight hesitation when I am accelerating at a very low speed, like in slow moving traffic. I have tried many things to fix the problem, thanks to many suggestions from this club and other mechanic types.

I have replaced the plugs on two different occasions (Auto Lites, and now Champion), replaced the plug wires, and rerouted wires based on suggestions, replaced the Dist cap and rotor. I bought a new battery prior to last winter. I've removed and cleaned the TB. I have cleaned my combustion chamber using Seafoam, and I've used the Techron in my gas tank. I've replaced the front 02 sensor, tried a new AIC, TPS, crankshaft position sensor, and even borrowed a PCM from another D owner. I also replaced the Fuel pump as mine went out in November.

Because the problem is not consistent, at times I think the new thing I've tried has fixed the problem. But then it happens again and I am back to square one.

Also, on two different occasions in the past three months I have had the "check engine" light come on indicating two or more cylinder misfires. It happened about two months apart, and both times it was different cylinders and more than one.

Yesterday I was reading on Dodgetalk.com a string about Plenum gasket leaks. Could this be a possible cause of my problem? How do I check it?

Any ideas would be appreciated. I know I should probably just take it in, but it is running great other than this once-in-a-while problem.

Thanks!
