Not all of us have experienced pinging on a normal(?) engine. However pinging seems to always be one of the symptoms of a plenum gasket leak. Mopar came out with a thicker gasket to cure(?) the problem, however The Fastman's cure is the best. Just a simple manifold swap. While you are at it swap out the TB for one of Dan's also. Next a Hypertech mod for the pcm and on from there. The mod bug will have fully set in by then. Unlimited choices and lots of fun. Happy D'ing.
