Hmmmm - even with just a minor ping + the oil in the intake, looks like you still may have a plenum gasket issue IMO. But since you seem basically, to have an idle/hesitation problem other than the ping/oil issue, I would try changing the ICU unit, (located on the rear of the TB). In your original post you mention the, "AIC". Not sure what you are referring to there, but I had an erratic idle a while back, and it turned out to be the ICU in my case. BTW, I have a 5.9 motor and it's never pinged, and I know of many other 5.9 and 5.2 powered D owners who have never had a ping problem, so I would suggest that the statement, "they all do it..", is a bit exaggerated.
