To get any more than that out of the front you would have to have a re-indexed torsion bar...
They used to have these available for my old D50 back in the day...A Place called "Baker" ( I think)...speciallized in D50 offroad parts...
IMHO, the better way to go...just cranking up the stock bars simply increases preload and therefore stiffens the ride (many dont mind this) plus puts the spring rate and shocks toward the far end of the normal duty cycle...plus, operates the front end and such at angles that are toward one end of the "total movement" envelope...Seems like there is more to risk than gain going this route...
I know many folks claim to have had "no problems" with this way of doing it though...I guess I would have to see (and ride) in person a D lifted this way to see if that 1 3/4" lift is worth it...
I dont know if anyone is offering reindexed bars yet or not for the D...havent heard of anyone doing so...
