Adding a leaf in the back will stiffen the ride, but increase the load capacity without sag. I added a leaf on my 89 Isuzu and and cranked the torsion bars to clear 32's. The ride was firmer in the front and much stiffer in the back. I was able to increase load capacity on that as well. Overall, I liked the results.
How much was the AAL for the rear?
