What are the symptoms? How often was it "serviced" (fluid & filter)? Did you tow with it? What rear end ratio?

I may be naive, but my goal is to get 150K out of my 46RE before major repairs.

$1400 for a fastman tranny is a great price. It would cost you hundreds to pull it and find out really what is the problem -- much less repair it.

Problem with rebuilding a tranny with someone you don't know is that you don't know how much they are really doing to it. They could look at a part and think they would rather have the $20 in their pocket than replace it knowing it will get you through their warranty.
