starter replacement

Well I got to spend some quality time with my D this afternoon replacing the starter. It must have had a bad spot in it. Every once in a while for the last year when I would turn the key over I would just get the click of the solenoid engaging. If I turned the key 2 or 3 times, it would finally turn over. I thought it was just a bad connection or something. I had replaced the starter relay and checked the battery connections. Well, today for the first time, my D left me stranded at Wal-Mart. Called my son to bring my tools and get me another starter. Two hours later I was back up and running. Not a difficult job but it was a pain in the rump. Having a 3" body lift sure helped though as I was able to work through the wheel well.
