I agree Mark...

Look at it this way --

Do you go to a movie theatre just to buy the popcorn or soft drinks? Of course not...you go there to watch a movie. And the theatres charge you to get in, and they pay a hefty fee to use the movie to attract business.

The NFL broadcasts are broadcast for PERSONAL use...ie in your home with friends and family...If you charge people to watch the game with you, you are breaking the copyright laws...if you have everyone bring a food, it is NOT. The network charges advertisement fees based on the market coverage a potential product advertiser might gain...supply and demand...it has NOTHING to do with "fairness"...and the fact that they charge for advertising does NOT diminish their legal ownership rights.

IF a business uses the broadcast as a tool to draw people to that business, it has to pay for it...LOTS of money goes into the broadcasts...why should Joe's Bar or any other establishment get that product for free and benefit from it? I am pretty sure that mosty of the "sports bars" already pay fees for this...the Casinos, etc should have to follow the same rules...
