When I joined in the summer of 02, all I got was a license plate frame and baseball cap (the real tall kind of ballcap that semi drivers with a beer gut would wear). I would trade that strange looking ballcap for a DOC tshirt anyday of the week.
Do you only get a tshirt when you re-up?
