Re: 2000 Durango Loses Heater Directional Control

Mine did the same thing. The directional control is controlled by vacuum from the engine. The rubber piece inside the switch that directs the vacuum had a small blemish in it and was causing it to leak vacuum and the switch would not work. I went to the junk yard and got a new switch assembly and it works great now.
