Well My point wasnt that they should not pay it was more along the lines that the NFL is saying anyone that has a "Superbowl Party" has to pay them for the rights to watch the game. So why isnt the NFL suing for past years parties or for all the playoff games they broadcasted in the past few weeks. I understand your point that people should be paid for what they do, I own my own business i couldnt agree more. But with that said they are getting paid by the networks for the broadcast, so technically the networks should be the one's suing , not the nfl. The casinos were giving more than just the game for there ticket price (ie: food ,drinks, party favors)so how do you break it down on who gets paid what from that ticket price. So the casinos could say the $40 ticket price breaks down like this: $10 food, $10 drinks,$10 service (cooks ,servers, cleanup crew) $9.95 party favor (hat or tee shirt.) That leaves $.05 for the nfl, and i am sure some will say that breakdown isnt fair, but how do you expect them to make a profit? It doesnt matter if is the casinos or a local bar. As I said before I hope some young power hungry attorney gets all the Casino's together and sues them for lost profit.Maybe the NFL should ban the broadcast of the games in the betting rooms as well at all the casinos. Cause the casino is making money there as well. So in closing make sure all of you that do have a Superbowl party that you dont ask anyone to bring anything in exchange for watching the game.
And finally i could care less who actually wins i dont like either team, I will be watching just for the commercials. The Budweiser donkey one sounds like it will be funny. Enjoy the game and DONT DRINK AND DRIVE.
