David, check the Dodge Towing Guide on the Dodge website. The tow rating is the same for both 3.73 and 4.10 rear-ends (12850 w/Auto)- so it must be frame restricted. So, unless you have a real need for torque at the low end, I'd opt for the 3.73. I went for the 4.10's with the Hemi because I felt I needed it if/when we upgrade the trailer, and because the Hemi is happier at higher RPM's. With 4.10's the 2500 Hemi is rated for 10,800, with 3.73's it's only 8800 lbs. The new D is there with the Hemi and 3.92's.Joe
