I have a 2000 SLT 4 x 2 with 15 in wheels. At 67k I changed out the original Michelins for Michelin "Cross Terrains". Like you I do mostly freeway driving. I couldn't be more satisfied. Low road noise, good wet traction, everything you would expect from a Michelin. I hope to get 67k out of them as well. I know you said you don't want to pay for Michelins now, but they last so long you might want to reconsider.
