Re: Saw an '04 in person today,...

I had the opportunity to drive the '04 demo at my dealership last week. As I commented below, I actually enjoyed the refined ride as opposed to my '99 D. It handled, cornered, steered much better than Gen I. I also found the seats to be more confortable. The downside I found for the interior were the layout/ergonomics. the ackward door sills/pillars and the way too long and too wide Caravan type dash.

The really big letdown is obviously the looks. I really dislike that long sloping hood design, and the rear just comes up short, especially with those awful Jeep Liberty style tailights. Instead of Dodge coming up with a truly original body design, it looks as if they decided to share body parts with the RAM and the Liberty, which I think is a big mistake! Only time will tell when Dodge posts their 2004 Durango sale totals!
