Uh, why do they even bother putting shocks on new D's if they're going to put on such junk? WHAT an unbelievable difference. I'm a bit of a skeptic and have always thought some of you here were exaggerating when you would talk about the degree of difference in the ride. Boy was I wrong. I got the 5000's from sears, $196 for 4. They are offering free installation, but I wanted to do them myself, primarily to see the "shocks", and I use that term loosely, that DC puts on. My first clue on the difference was that when I got the old ones off, I could hold the ends and squeeze them together with little effort. It took everything I had to push and pull the Ranchos.
Didn't have any trouble with the install, thanks to those who offered tips. No WD-40 or anything.
All I can say is I wish I would have put them on a looooong time ago.
Now I'm wondering if the Fastman TB would surprise me like the shocks did...hehehehehe
