Rancho boot question:

Installing the 5000's tonight and on the rear passenger side, the boot is about 1/2" from the exhaust pipe. Isn't this a problem?
I would think that since there is a heat shield for the spare that this boot will last about 10 miles and either ooze onto the pavement or catch fire and fry the D.
I know a lot of you have these shocks, what did you do?
