Just finished test driving the REVOS installed today replacing my Pirelli Scorpions. I tried to note as many characteristics of the Scorpions over different road surfaces and speeds and then compared the new REVOS over the same terrain.

My first impression was the quietness! The REVOS have a very aggressive tread design for both off-road and hiway use. My scorps had a distinct song above 10 mph that is totally absent with the REVOS. I took the REVOS through town and then on the Interstate a cruised @ 90 for 40 miles or so and never heard the tires above the wind noise with the radio off. Very quiet tires for such an aggressive tread design!

The steering was very neutral with the scorps...something I always disliked. At dead center the steering felt "floaty" but with the REVOS I definately felt the difference as more of a positve center feel...very even feed back through turns and straight ahead driving. Much more "in control" feeling of the steering than with my scorps.

In snow my scorps were adequate...next week I'll give the impressions with cold wet rain and snow here in Montana.

Overall, I rate the REVOS as outstanding so far with the snow and rain and mud tests in the next few weeks.

The ride is much more comfortable with the REVOS at 35lbs vs the scorps.

Also, my dealer did a thorough check of my ball joints and declared them as working fine! Big relief on that note.

More to come
