Tire Scrubbing

I have a 98 D and when I bought it, it had 235/75-17 tires on it. I bought a set of 8" factory rims and put 31's on it and had the pinion reindexed. I just noticed that the front tires are scrubbing the frame in a hard turn. I didn't think I would have this problem staying with stock size tires. Has any one else experienced this and if so is it normal or do I need to do something to correct it? Thanks
