"Do you (or anyone) have pics or instructions on disconnecting the rear sway bar for off road use?"
Typically, all you'll have to do is unbolt one bolt on each side and tie it up with a bungee cord. I have never done it the Durango, only with my former Grand Cherokee. There are no dangers or drawbacks if you do this for off-road use and reconnect it for on road use. All a sway bar does is limit body roll, creating safer cornering for a vehicle. The front sway bar is most important, I know people who run without rears. As for the longer shock, I reccomend this for two reasons. You have lifted your vehicle 2" and now the shocks are out of there "sweet spots". The stock shocks were designed for use at stock heights and will give you the best performance, ride quality and travel when the suspension is in it's stock geometry. What I mean by this is that a typical shock may have 8 inches of travel. You lift it 2 inches, you now have only 6 inches of travel. And now when flexing offroad if you discconnect sway bars you will flex to the point where your shocks become the limiting factors and act as bumpstops. Thus taking a chance of ripping a shock apart. I have seen this happen (again not on a D but on a Grand) But shocks are shocks and flexing is flexing.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
