Hello and Welcome! Sounds a bit like my '98. It had 49K miles on the odometer 23 months ago and now it has 109K miles. My 5.2L engine has had no issues in 60K miles, except when it was on a 12000'+ elevation steep down slop in Colorado and it trip the check engine light. If you plan on doing lots of towing, you might want the larger 5.9L.
Trade in the Grand Cherokee and get the Durango. It's a classic, as the '04 are rather ugly. So, I think my '98 has/will go up in value as the new model rolls off the assembly line and shows up in the dealer's show rooms.
