I've had a chance to drive this thing around a little more and even though I'm breaking things in slowly, it's impressive. I can remember before the install when I would accelerate to get on a highway... the truck would move very nicely but then just kind of level out once it hit a certian rpm. Now, even with generating 4-5 lbs. boost it just keeps climbing and pulling. I'm sure once the stock PCM adjusts a little more things will get even better.
My only complaint is that it is a little louder than I expected. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice sound, but, not "whisper" quiet as KB advertises.
Final dyno numbers: 352hp/484tq. to the ground, with the functional ram-air a usable 372hp, (8-9 lbs. boost). A 30 percent drivetrain loss due to AWD equates to approx. 500+hp and the crank.
Those of you who are considering doing this to your motor, I highly recommend it. BUT... if you're not going to use the KB Optimizer package make ABSOLUTELY sure you get your motor tuned by a professional.
