Well I will be doing the mod next Saturday. I was in luck as my body shop of choice said not much of a problem APART from the collar.

Due to the fact that the OEM hood is ridged the collar will tend to have in small areas a 1 mm. gap which he will try and fill with strengthening polymer glue about an inch from the cutout to the outside and then clamp. He doesn't think it will be noticeable. If it is however, we go to plan B and apply a thin coat of the same resin to the edge of the collar but then I would have to respray the whole hood. No price yet but on option A should be a couple hundred bucks. So if that works out, and yes, pictures to follow, the whole cost was 550 bucks including shipping to Hawaii. Over 50% cheaper than ordering the hood etc. with the shipping to Hawaii.
