Steering problem.

2001 R/T, Mileage 40k.
Symptom: When turning close to full lock, severe "binding" occurs. It almost feels like the brakes are on. I still have 1/4 turn left on the steering wheel before actually hitting full lock.

I first noticed it today when doing a U turn. I took it to a parking lot and tried some slow figure 8's.  It affect both sides, but the left more so than the right.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
