Re: Problem starting on initial try, then starts fine thereafter

I had this exact problem!

I did two things and the problem went away. I removed, cleaned, and re-installed the Idle Air Control valve (on the rear of the TB) and I replaced the TPS.

I think the problem was the IAC valve, but I did both at once so I will never know for sure.

I had 2 problems. The hard start, and once and a while (rarely) it would die at idle after startup. As a shotgun approach I did the IAC and TPS and that fixed both the idle problem and the hard start problem.
