Defroster baffle problem

When I set the control to defrost I hear what sounds like the doors trying to set and slipping several times.Bad description but the best I can do.2000 miles left on the extended warranty so off to the dealer.Would like some opinions before I get the usual "we can't make it do that","we don't hear it" or "they all do that." Thanks.
