diff fluid

how do we change the diff fluid, do we remove the diff cover and fill it up from the rubber stopper once the diff cover is back on? I am so anxious to change my gear oil to synthetic, i jacked the D up, got under the truck and was flustered, i was expecting a drain plug.

what about the front diff and xfer case? whats the procedure for draining?
i recently change to mobil 1, so far the truck sounds and feels much better, increase of 1.5 mpg. any help would be appreciated!
