From what I remember, flushing of a brake system to remove all the DOT 3 fluid in order to replace it with DOT 5 fluid was more extensive than most people wanted to do. And... if you were to get it serviced afterward, how were you to insure that DOT 5 fluid was being used. Not to mention the expense - much higher than DOT 3.
Unless you are going to road-race your D, I would think that DOT 3 fluid should be fine. That's what you have now. Joe
