Check your fuel pressure at the rail. It may be bleeding down after a few hours.

I am not sure where the Durango has its fuel pressure regulator. If its like a OBDII jeep its on top of the gas tank. The regulator should maintain the pressure at the feed line to the rails on the engine. There may even be a check valve to maintain this I am not sure. If anyone has a service manual they can look up what the fuel system looks like.

You may think that just turning the key on and starting the fuel pump for a bit before starting the engine may help but there is a timer which shuts the fuel pump down after a few seconds if you dont start the engine. The few second time is not enough to raise the fuel pressure to have a good start.

I hope this helps.
