Re: Ping under load. Could it be caused by the location of the IAT sensor?

Are you losing oil? Our 97 DAK has the 5.2 and this has happened to us twice. On both occasions, the ping would occur only under load. We were losing oil at the same time but not so that you could see it puddle out.Both times it was the "rear main seal" gone bad. A mopar guy on our block said the 5.2 was pretty famous for those leaks.
