My rotors feel warped after a while and if I do a couple of hard brakes they get smooth again.  I am thinking the ceramic material may just be building up on the rotor and causing the pads to "stick" in certain spots.  The hard braking clears that up and I am good to go again for a while.  I did notice on the St. Helens trip that the brakes got very hot coming off the mountain.  I am switching to Hawk pads this weekend to see if I can clear up the "sticking" issue.  According to the articles that have been posted on this forum, it is really hard to actually "warp" rotors.  Generally it is another problem that is causing the feeling that we associate with warped rotors.
