I never had that problem with the original Dynamat. Yes, there was quite a lot of adhesive on the back, but it didn't get all over everything. It had a smell to it. I had to let my car air out.
I knew the spray would force you to air your car out since it takes a day or two to cure. That was one drawback to it. I've heard good review over other sprays years ago, but didn't know how effective Dynamat's version was. I will most likely go with the extreme whenever I get the time and money to do it.
