yellow transmission light turned on

It turn off in 2 day, but still wondered why it turned on. I just got done towing a u-haul 6x12 trailer for 3 1/2 hours at highway speeds. The trailer was not full and was not really heavy. we park it for 1 1/2 hour . Then went to drop the trailer off and the light turned on. I have a hard time beiliving the transmision got to hot . Over drive still worked . no it was turned off when the trailer had weight in it.
The fluid is getting old but still full.

I have a 2000 D 4x4 Partime 4.7L with the towing package so there is the tranny cooler. with 107 000 kilometer on it.

So should I be conserned
