Bob (and everyone else)

Headlight removal is simple.  People, please quit cutting fingers and gouging your hands.  Here are the simple steps:

1.  Raise the hood.

2.  Pull rubber strip off up to the fender that sits on the inside of the headlight (between headlight and grill).  It has holes in it that slip back over little posts on the headlight and turn signal.

3.  To make this really easy, use a torx screwdriver (size 10 I think) and remove the screw on the inside corner of the turn signal where it makes an L.  The upper portion is the clear lens that has no light in it.  This will be at the bottom outside corner of the headlight.

4.  Pull the turn signal out.  That screw you took out is the only thing that holds it in.  When replacing, make sure the guides line up between the top of the turn signal and the bottom of the headlight.  You will see what I mean when you pull the turn signal out.

5.  There are 3 screws (size 10mm) that hold the headlight assembly in.  They are located in these positions: one on the inside upper corner between the headlight and grill and two below the headlight.  Remove these 3 screws.

6.  Give the headlight a tug.  The only thing left holding the headlight in place is a ball and socket mechanism that should pop right out.  Just remember to line this back up when replacing the headlight assembly.

7.  Whala, you now have full access to the back of the headlight assembly and bulb plug and locking mechanism.  This is also the only way you are going to change turn signal bulbs.

8.  If this is too confusing, E-mail me and I can forward you instructions with pictures.  Another option would be for you to look in your owners manual and check out the headlight replacement section.

After you have done this once, I guarantee that you will be able to replace both headlights in less than 5 minutes without so much as a minor scratch on your hands or fingers.
