Go to your local auto parts house and ask for the Moog repalcement ball joints for the 99 D. If you don't own a compressor and an air-chisel or air grinder rent them from your local rental yard. You need to separate the Ball joint from your spindle. Then grind/chisel the rivets off of the ball joint. remove the joint and replace with the Moog joint. Bolt it to the upper A-arm and to the spindle. Grease and get it aligned. While you are doing one, you might as well do both. Good Luck.
