Dave,
I paid $20 each for them at Checker (www.partsamerica.com) - they are the same price at AutoZone. As to whether or not they are worth it, well they are a little brighter (I did an A/B test with one old bulb still in; I could definitely see the inceased intensity against a white surface at close range), and they are whiter. The white lines in the road, white signs, etc. are much brighter. The change is not dramatic (like HIDs would be), but I like the whiter light. It probably won't rain for awhile for me to see the difference. I guess the true test will come when the snow flies - maybe they will be too white!
But I have discovered a trick (posted above) that yields MUCH better brightness for even stock bulbs.
