Mistakes are much more costly when your alone, but I've always been the kind of guy to go it alone. When you do it regularly you learn to pay close attention to your limits and your abilities. I also find it most fulfilling with less distractions and the fact that I have no one else to depend on, keeps my level of concentration at it's peak.
